The conference has been organized
as part of the profPM
(professional Project Management) project, a competitive research project, co-funded
by the Greek General Secretariat for Research and Technology (from
"Competitiveness" funds, Measure 8.3, Action 8.3.6) (80%) and by
the private sector (20%). Its budget totals €200.000, while its duration is
14 months (July 2007 - September 2008).
The objective of profPM is the formation and operation of a
"Human Network for Academic and Technological Education/Training"
on project management. The project aims to establish links between academic institutions
and businesses on issues related to project management professional
certification according to international standards. The main activities of the project include:
Professional business training on project management certification schemes.
Enlightenment on professional skills certification, project management and
human resources management according to international standards. A training
