The Conference will be held in Chios, the fifth in size Greek island in North-Eastern Aegean. Chios is easily accessible by airplane or ferry.

Chios has a long history (since 6,000 BC), shores of more than 200 Km in length and is world renowed for a tree-like bush called 'Mastic' which allegdely only grows on the island.

Conference facilities will be provided by the Homerion Cultural Centre. Conference facilities include a main theatre (400+ sits), parallel session rooms, meeting / seminar rooms and common/break areas.

A limited number of hotel rooms in the Chios city centre, within walking distance from the Conference venue is available. Car rental or taxi service may be an option for accommodation further afield. The Conference Secretariat, through co-operating travel agents, can help with travel arrangements (flights, accommodation & optional excursions) at very competitive prices. Please book your trip early, as Chios is very popular during the summer months.

The designated Conference Hotel is the Chios Chandris (4* Hotel). Chios Chandris Hotel is a fully renovated A class hotel, situated on the picturesque harbour, just a five minute stroll from the museums, castle and market place of Chios town and two minutes from an attractive beach.

Standard rooms are medium in size with carpeted floor and light colour wood furnishing. Colour co-ordinated with private balcony providing either views of the sea, swimming pool or citrus orchards. All rooms have telephone (direct dial), radio, satellite television, hairdryer and air conditioning. The hotel offers dry cleaning/laundry service, currency exchange, wake up service, wireless internet access in public areas, business centre and car rental.
