The mission of the Scientific Conferences on Project Management (SCPM) is to facilitate communication between international multi-disciplinary teams. SCPMs provide a forum for the discussion of topics related to the development of new knowledge in project management and related disciplines.
Furthermore, the recent establishment (2007) of the International Project Management Association (IPMA) / Mediterranean Network (MedNet) creates new prospects and challenges for the promotion of Project Management profession, education, cooperation, organisational maturity and certification in the Mediterranean area.
The Conference supports IPMA / MedNet objectives to foster closer cooperation, business relations and knowhow exchange between Mediterranean and neighbouring countries.
This conference follows on the 3rd SCPM, hosted in Thessaloniki and jointly organized by the National Technical University of Athens and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in September 2004, and the 1st & 2nd SCPM hosted in Athens in December 2001 and January 2003 respectively. National Technical University of Athens and Florida International University (USA) have also co organized the related CITC III Conference in Athens, in September 2005.
Academics, researchers, industrialists, professionals, policy makers, assessors, certification & funding bodies concerned with projects and programmes in every sector (construction, IT & telecommunications, public government, international &, EU projects etc) are, therefore, encouraged to participate and contribute with their knowledge and experience to the conference.
